Hours before he was scheduled to perform on stage, Sir Rod Stewart canceled tonight’s performance. The 80-year-old rocker had to cancel due to ill health, but he was scheduled to play tonight in Las Vegas.

Rod took to Instagram to express his regret on the fact that Rod’s show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being postponed until June 10th. Your tickets will still be valid until the new date. Sir Rod”.

Due to making a depressing health admission, Sir Rod was forced to reschedule a number of tour dates, including his milestone 200th Las Vegas residency show, last summer. Rod’s team expressed regret at the announcement that Rod would have to bow out because he is still recovering from a Covid-19 strain from the summer. After performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for 13 years, the singer was scheduled to bring his The Hits concert to a close. However, Sir Rod withdrew hours before what was scheduled to be his final performance at the venue, declaring that he was “desperately sorry”

He continued, “It’s obvious not me, but most people can work with strep throat.” I’m absolutely devastated. This concert has been a huge success for me. I feel the most sorry for any inconvenience caused by this. He vowed that we will be returning in 2025, and that he would like to see everyone there.

A strep infection can cause nausea, vomiting, muscle aches, and a sore throat, according to the NHS. It can often be treated with antibiotics and is not a serious illness.

The actor’s most recent health issue comes after he claimed in a brand-new interview that he couldn’t see himself retiring from performing. Additionally, Sir Rod has confirmed that Ronnie Wood and his former Faces bandmate will play a set at the Glastonbury Festival together.

The 1975, British pop/rock band The 1975, folk rock legend Neil Young, and US pop singer Olivia Rodrigo are the guests at the music event, which will feature the 80-year-old musician.

Following the split of Small Faces, Faces, who were known for hits like Stay With Me, formed in 1969.

When questioned about keeping in touch with The Rolling Stones’ members and “other people in music,” Sir Rod responded, “Not really. We’re going to do Glastonbury together, so Woody (Wood) I do a lot recently.

Elton has birthdays occasionally, you know, but not quite as often as we used to, probably because he and Woody no longer drink and I still do. They avoid me. Bad influence

He added, “I’ve done it (Glastonbury) before,” according to the podcast. Although I did it in 2002, this is now a legend’s event.

I was only supposed to play for an hour and a quarter, but I’ve asked for an additional fifteen because I spend more than two hours each night playing. But I’m looking forward to it.

Up until 1975, the band split up and Sir Rod embarked on a solo recording career. Faces then released four studio albums and made regular road trips.

Five of his children presented the veteran rockstar with a prestigious lifetime achievement award earlier this week at the American Music Awards (AMAs).

Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?, Every Beat Of My Heart, and Maggie May are some of his best-known solo songs.

He stated in 2024 that he would not retire, but that his 2025 European and North American shows would end his “large-scale world tours,” with his subsequent events taking place in more intimate settings.

His most recent album, a collaboration with Jools Holland, reached the top of the UK chart in February 2024.
