As he gears up for a busy summer, Robbie Williams made a promise to his fans.

The former Take That singer is back to entertain audiences after the success of his biopic Better Man. The natives of the North East are one group of fans eager to see his long-awaited return.

The Rock DJ star, 51, last performed in the region in 2014 and has apologised for waiting so long to return. In a message ahead of June’s Come Together Festival, Robbie promised the event will be “one big party”. Speaking ahead of the event, he urged: “Let’s make it a night to remember”.

Starting with a jovial “Howay the Toon”, Robbie said: “Newcastle, it’s been a while. I’m sorry. It has been ten years since my last North East game. On Wednesday, June 4th I’ll be headlining the all new Come Together Festival on Town Moor. And let me tell you, there’s going to be a lot of parties! So, let’s make it a night to remember when we come together in June”.

Fans of Robbie Williams will have plenty of opportunities to see him perform this summer (GETTY).

At the Newcastle event, Andrew Cushin, The Lottery Winners, and other well-known musicians like the Kaiser Chiefs and Little Mix’s Perrie will also play.

Toby Leighton-Pope, Managing Director of TEG Europe, said of the event: “We are absolutely thrilled to announce Robbie Williams as our first headliner for the Come Together Festival. Our commitment to providing a top-notch festival experience that is both accessible and unforgettable is demonstrated by the presence of such a famous artist in Newcastle.

For Robbie, though, he’s not the only one in his family that’s set for big things this year. His daughter, who has a rare opportunity to appear in a significant upcoming movie, appears to be following her father into stardom. Teddy, or Theodora, has been seen filming Tinsel Town, a brand-new Christmas movie. Rebel Wilson, a star from Hollywood, and Teddy, 12, both looked more than comfortable as they stood on the street. Additionally, it is said that she now intends to pursue acting as a career.

“Teddy was born to be a star – after all, her parents are both the ultimate performers”, a source told The Sun.

Alongside Teddy, Robbie and Ayda, who married in 2010, share daughter Colette, and sons Charlton and Beau. According to some, the Real Housewives franchise bosses have been attempting to sign up Robbie and his wife Ayda for the program for the past five years.

He revealed the bold plans during a recent interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, but admitted Ayda wasn’t convinced by the concept. “We’ve asked Ayda to be a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills like five years in a row”, Andy said, while Robbie chanted: “Do it, do it, do it”.

Ayda reasoned in response: “It’s a lot of pressure, you’ve gotta get him on board, you’ve got to get the monkey on board”. Andy wasn’t discouraged her Ayda’s words, and joked: “Rob has to come on and make some sauce like Carrie Ann would. I think you’re worried that Rob would get too involved”.

Robbie joked: “I would”, while Ayda laughingly hit back: “I mean, he would be the house husband of Beverly Hills”!
