Robbie Williams’ daughter, Teddy, shared a sweet moment with a fan while walking the red carpet at the Tinsel Town premiere earlier this week alongside her parents
Robbie Williams’ daughter was hailed as “brilliant” by a fan. The musician and his wife, Ayda Williams, walked the red carpet with Teddy, 13, at the Tinsel Town premiere on Thursday night.
In the film, Teddy, who has remained out of the spotlight until now, plays the daughter of Rebel Wilson’s character, Jill. But as Teddy posed for pictures in London, there was one fan who was left blown away by the teen’s manners throughout the filming process and on the night of the premiere.
Teddy and Robbie met a fan, Connie, 12, who also appears in the movie as an extra. Robbie and his wife, Ayda, also met with Connie’s mother, who couldn’t help but praise their daughter.
“Hi gorgeous, what’s your name?” Robbie asked Connie, before replying: “Connie, pleased to meet you, Connie.” Teddy added: “I love your dress, stunning.” as Ayda explained that Connie’s outfit was: “Very pretty.” Connie’s mother turned to Teddy, saying: “You took time to spend with her. Do you know what? Your mum and dad have done you well, you are amazing.”
“Wow, thank you,” Teddy said. Robbie, blown away by the comment, instantly leaned in and gave Connie’s mum a hug. But while Robbie and Ayda have kept Teddy out of the spotlight until now, the legendary singer said he was “super proud” of his eldest, whose real name is Theodora Rose.
Speaking to the Press Association, Rock DJ hitmaker Robbie said: “I’m super proud. It’s a very weird situation to be in, to put your daughter out into the public, and it’s a very, very tiny little toe in just to go, this is what it’s like, now go back to school, and we’ll see what happens later on.
“But I just want people to see what I see with her every day, which is how kind and how compassionate and empathic she is. I’m super proud of just her, and then this is (the) icing.” Directed by Chris Foggin, known for comedies Fisherman’s Friends and Bank Of Dave, Tinsel Town also stars Danny Dyer, best known for playing pub landlord Mick Carter in EastEnders and London-based Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan.
Meanwhile, a source told The Sun in February when Teddy was spotted filming in Wetherby, West Yorkshire: “Teddy was born to be a star – after all, her parents are both the ultimate performers.
“Robbie and Ayda have been keen to keep her out of the spotlight for as long as possible, though – obscuring her face on social media etc – so this is all very much being driven by Teddy, who’s wanted to be on stage since she was old enough to talk!
“It’s a small part, but obviously is super-exciting, and everyone is really proud of her. She’s an absolutely lovely girl on and off screen, and has fitted in seamlessly into on-set life.”
Meanwhile, Ayda has previously opened up about her and Robbie’s decision to keep their four children private. She said: “We never show their faces, it’s really important to us. We’re really proud, and we want to share absolutely everything, but there’s a law in this country that means they can’t put pictures up of kids in the papers unless you’re posting their faces.”
