During a brief hearing, Blades only gave his name after being asked to confirm his identity wearing animal-print spectacles, a grey suit, and a blue polka-dot tie.

The TV star denied having any coercive or controlling feelings for Lisa-Marie Zbozen, his separated wife, between January 1, 2023 and September 12, 2013.

Later in the trial, he will be charged.
