Just days after Prince Andrew renounced his royal titles in a shocking statement, a family summit was reportedly held at Royal Lodge to discuss the changes and assess what the family’s future looked like in the face of such scandal.
Andrew announced that he would be relinquishing his titles and honours given to him by his late mother Queen Elizabeth, as the accusations against him – which he has long denied – continue to “distract” from the work of the royal family. In the days after the announcement, Andrew and Fergie’s eldest daughter Beatrice was spotted at the Royal Lodge, as an informal family meeting is said to have taken place.

While Princess Eugenie was reportedly noticeably absent, Beatrice’s younger sister Princess Eugenie was there to support her parents during this significant transition. Andrew and Fergie have owned the Windsor home since 2008, and Beatrice was spotted arriving alone there.
A royal source told the Daily Mail of the meeting: “The Royal Lodge ‘summit’ wasn’t a happy occasion and the family, once a strong unit, is fractured.”
Although Beatrice did visit Windsor after the shocking announcement, a royal source claimed that Beatrice has been left devastated by the ongoing allegations against her parents.
She claimed to be on the phone because she couldn’t bring herself to check out the Sunday papers. She appeared to be completely devastated.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were completely unaware of their father’s decision to abandon their royal honors before the public statement became public, according to royal sources.
Due to the fact that neither princesses are believed to have had any time to get ready for the consequences of their father’s dramatic announcement, the lack of prior notice over such a significant decision marked a significant change from the family’s previously tight-knit communication patterns. According to sources, Prince Andrew was “bounced into agreeing a statement” without having a discussion with his daughters at the time.
One royal expert expressed her concern that Beatrice and Eugenie, who were just 19 and 20, visited paedophile billionaire Epstein after his release from prison in 2009, have been implicated in the scandal.
The princesses should consider going one step further and rescind their princess titles, according to Ingrid Seward, while the princesses are continuing to fly under the radar and establish themselves.

I think people would hugely respect them for it and, I think, ultimately, they would be happier.”
