Brooklyn Beckham attacked his distraught mother Victoria in a bombshell statement, according to fresh details. And it appears that there is more to the “payday” row than meets the eye…

Brooklyn Beckham’s sensational statement has revealed a unique counternarrative to the towering “House Beckham,” leaving his mother “in bits.” However, the dispute is still ongoing as more details about a alleged trademark dispute are revealed.

The 26-year-old made a number of outrageous allegations on Instagram that David and Victoria Beckham’s parents have tried to “endlessly ruin” their relationship with Nicola Peltz-Beckham’s glamorous wedding in Palm Beach, Florida in 2022.

Brooklyn claims that he was humiliated after his and Nicola’s first dance was “hijacked” by mother Victoria with inappropriate behavior, declaring, “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.” The aspiring chef also claimed that the Beckhams tried to “bribe” him weeks before the wedding, with a “payday” being “affected” by his refusal to cooperate, which is perhaps even more astonishing.

In an Instagram story that has shaken the foundations of the Beckham name, Brooklyn claimed: “Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children. They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because then the terms of the deal would be initiated. My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since.”

Although it’s not exactly clear what Brooklyn meant by “paycheck,” it’s well known that the Beckhams are protective of their family’s hard-earned legacy, which is estimated to be around the £500 million mark. And recent information regarding the “Brand Beckham” trademarks may help to understand what actually drives the conflict.

The name Beckham was registered with the intellectual property authorities in the UK and Europe in April 2017, according to a report from BBC News that emerged in April 2017. This allowed for the release of branded products while keeping the name Beckham safe from other celebrities or businesses. She and David had previously registered their names, respectively, in 2002 and 2000.

And now it’s emerged that Victoria is the sole owner of the trademark on Brooklyn Beckham’s name – said to expire this year. Documents seen by the Daily Mail reportedly show that in December 2016, the fashion mogul took out the trademark in her son’s name, with the deadline for expiration said to be December of this year. When it ends, Brooklyn will be free to renew using his own lawyers, the publication claims.

In the face of so many ” nepo baby ” accusations, could Nicola and Brooklyn have a good time releasing their own identity while Brand Beckham is getting a bad rap and the trademark deadline is quickly approaching? Although they have certainly gotten people talking, this may not be the wisest course of action in the long run.

Mayah Riaz, a PR to the stars, told the Mirror: “On whether Brooklyn and Nicola can use this to establish their own brand, potentially yes, but only if they pivot quickly from grievance to purpose. Sure, victimhood can open the door, but it doesn’t sustain a brand. To steal the throne, which I’m not sure is what they want, they’d need a clear identity that is not defined by attacking his parents. Otherwise, they remain the anti-Beckhams, which is not a strong long-term position.”

Although born into a household where money was no object, Brooklyn has earned his own keep over the years, most notably while modelling for the likes of Vogue China, Interview and Dazed Korea, and through his firm role as a brand ambassador for Chinese mobile phone company, Huawei. Celebrity Net Worth estimates Brooklyn’s fortune to be around £7.4 million, an enviable sum to be sure, and yet it pales in comparison to his wife’s bank account.

The Beckhams almost seem to be the bad relations because Nicola, 31, was born into a dynasty. Nicola has a successful Hollywood career in her own right, appearing in blockbusters like The Last Airbender and Transformers: Age of Extinction, as well as the well-known horror show Bates Motel. Her personal wealth is estimated to be worth an incredible £37 million.

According to the Mail Online, Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, who is thought to be the 432nd richest person in the US, paid for the lavish £3 million nuptials. However, the Beckhams didn’t compromise when it came to the registry, and GQ previously reported that Sir David had given his son and daughter-in-law a stunning £372, 000 Electric Jaguar as a wedding gift.
