Trent Alexander-Arnold, England’s defensive back, will miss about two months because of a thigh injury sustained during Real Madrid’s win over Athletic Club.

In Real’s 3-0 win over Bilbao, the right-back provided his first La Liga assist despite having only made 11 appearances this season due to injury.

However, Alexander-Arnold needed medical attention after 10 minutes of play for his injured thigh.

The 27-year-old is expected to be sidelined for about two months, according to sources who spoke to BBC Sport.

Alexander-Arnold, who signed for Real from Liverpool in the summer and has already missed six weeks of the season due to a hamstring strain, has received the most recent blow.
