Coronation Street fans were shocked when a dear friend of theirs shared a selfie with their twin, who also appeared on the soap, on Coronation Street.
A Coronation Street star has left fans stunned after posing with his twin brother who also worked on the ITV soap.
Liam McCheyne plays Dylan Wilson, the son of Sean Tully (Anthony Cotton) and Violet Wilson (Jenny Platt). He first arrived on the cobbles in 2011 and later returned in 2022.
Liam’s role on the show has progressed significantly over the years, as in 2025 his character Dylan’s world turned upside down when he was involved in the knife attack and later death of Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan).
He was sentenced to a Secure Training Center (STC) for his involvement, but he has since been released and is back on the street.
Some fans have only just begun to realize that Liam and his twin brother Connor were the original Dan players. Connor appears to have put up his acting shoes in favor of sport despite Liam continuing his acting career.
And recently, Liam shared a special update with his brother. On Wednesday (January 21) the pair took to their Instagram to share a post celebrating their 19th birthday.
In his caption, Liam wrote, “Happy birthday to you best mate and right-hand man @connormccheyne1 Here’s to the best memories throughout chapter 19,” along with photos of the twins over the years. Connor also wrote, “Happy birthday to this one,” in the same vein. @liammccheyne here’s to a top 2026″.
Their Corrie castmates soon responded with well-wishes after receiving the post. Lisa Swain’s actor, Victor Myers, proclaimed “Happy 19th Birthday @liammccheyne. Have a wonderful day. Luca Toolan, a star of Mason Radcliffe, also wrote, “Happy birthday, you two.”

Fans previously expressed shock after learning that Liam had a twin. One fan said in disbelief when seeing images from The British Soap Awards: “Omg I never knew!”
Others made their own revelations, using phrases like “I didn’t know he was a twin” and exclamations like “Oh wow… One person said, “Well, I never knew that there were two of them,” while another said, “Amazing, I would never be able to tell these two apart,” and another said, “Well, I never knew.”
In the meantime, Liam revealed that fans frequently discredit his twin brother for believing it to be him in 2024. He explained that he won’t have enough time to say it’s not him before someone asks for a picture and that he will be stopped in Manchester on his way to college.
