Juliet Mayhew, a cast member for Real Housewives of London, claimed that she was “pretty much dumped at the altar” when a previous engagement ended in her early 20s.
One of the Real Housewives of London has revealed she was “pretty much dumped at the altar” in her twenties. Juliet Mayhew recently recalled the end of an engagement years ago whilst discussing her experience with rejection.
Juliet, one of the stars of the new Hayu show, claimed to be in a “pretty dark place” after a previous relationship ended. She attributes her support to her faith and loved ones.
On a podcast released today, the reality TV star, who is now in her 40s, discussed ending her relationship with her former partner, whose identity she kept secret. Juliet claimed she had a dream about getting married and was in her early 20s.
Speaking on the Rejection Rehab podcast, Juliet said that her parents, who have been together for more than 50 years, were role models to her growing up. She said: “You dream of being married and having children and a family.”
She continued, “I always believed that I was wise and wise in my decisions, y’know, and that I remained committed to my faith and morals and viewed him in the same way that my father was.” And I… I almost went to the altar, where I was dumped.
Juliet said that her “whole world collapsed”. She told podcast host Dr. Tom Flaherty that she had been “very young” and had “rose-coloured glasses”. After recalling accepting her partner’s proposal, she said: “I think so much about this decision comes down to your pride.”
She continued, “I had accepted the man I had fallen in love with.” And so, I follow through on my promise and my actions when I say I’m going to do something. Juliet asserted that it is her “integrity,” adding that she had already decided to change if she began to doubt or see gaps. These things must undoubtedly work together.
She continued, “It was heartbreaking for me to learn that he was cheating on me, I believe, two months before we were married.” And that caused my entire world to end like [we had already announced]our wedding].
Juliet claimed that the wedding was followed by an “amazing prelude.” She said to Tom, “Suddenly, boom, it was… he cheated on me.” Where did that leave me, exactly? Why wasn’t I good enough for him because something about me was so wrong with me?
She claimed that her bridesmaids had an “amazing” lunch to “celebrate” her on the day of her wedding. Juliet also made it known that one of her friends had been “so strict” after the breakup, and that she was encouraged to move on with her life.
Juliet claimed that the friend encouraged her to stay with her and told her not to contact her ex. She claimed that the pal had told her to “be who you are” and continue to follow her “trajectory.”
The guest referred to it as “the best thing anyone had done for her,” adding that “I had to go through the process of like when one door closes and another door opens.” She said, “I think I had to decide that I wasn’t going to look backwards in my mind. I anticipated what I would find.
Juliet claimed that her ex-boyfriend didn’t want to start dating again because she realized it was the “worst decision.” She continued, “That man was not for me,” but continued that he was a “wonderful man.” She continued, claiming that Anthony Mayhew, her husband, was the man who was in charge. She and Anthony have a family together, and they have been together for 19 years.
