Jonathan Rea of Northern Ireland received a double long-lap penalty for careless driving before placing 13th on Sunday in the championship’s fifth round of the championship.

With the appearance of the chequered flag, championship leader Nicolo Bulega won the championship while his closest title rival Toprak Razgatlioglu won it.

The Turkish sprinter Razgatlioglu, who had already won the Race One and the Superpole sprint race ahead of the Italian Bulega at the Most circuit, held the lead until the 14th lap, but was beaten by 0.027 seconds.

Danilo Petrucci, who finished third in the round, came in more than 16 seconds ahead of the lead pair.

Sam Lowes, a British national, finished fourth and is still in sixth place in the standings.

Rea was involved in a situation at the corner that resulted in a yellow flag.

The six-time champion, who recovered from an injury from the Italian round two weeks ago, was ultimately fined for the collision that prevented Alvaro Bautista and Xavi Vierge from winning.

Rea improved his weekend and season total to nine after finishing 10th in the round’s previous two races with three points.

With Razgatlioglu 31 behind, Bulega holds the lead in the standings with 252 points.
