“It is a long way but it’s not impossible,” said Rangers head coach Danny Rohl of his side’s title chances before Saturday’s game at Kilmarnock.
Following a comfortable 3-0 victory, Rangers sit six points behind Hearts and Celtic before the top two meet on Sunday with a game in hand on the Edinburgh club.
Now undefeated in their last 10 games in the Scottish Premiership, they are yet to lose a league game with Rohl in charge.
“Rangers weren’t brilliant tonight, but they brought a lot of energy to the game,” former striker Billy Dodds said on BBC Sportsound.
“Their finishing for the first time this season has been deadly.

The visitors had 11 shots at Rugby Park, six on target. Seven came from inside the box and while they only created one big chance they fashioned three goals.
Rangers generated an expected goals of 0.74, which was exactly the same as Kilmarnock’s xG, but Stuart Kettlewell’s side couldn’t find one.
“Today we were clinical, we took our chances unlike Wednesday [against Dundee United in a 2-2 draw],” Rohl told BBC Scotland.
“This is a good step. We have to develop our game management, but tonight it was a fantastic reaction and now we have five wins in seven so this is a good step forward.
Miovski makes mark after talk with Rohl
A lot of Rangers’ threat was down to Bojan Miovski who scored twice in Ayrshire to double his club tally for the season.
It was his first brace since 20 December 2023 when he was playing for Aberdeen against Livingston.
The North Macedonian had three shots from his five touches in the opposition box and Rohl revealed some details of a recent pep talk.
“We had a conversation and then he made step-by-step a huge step forwards against Dundee United,” said the German.
“He had some good chances. He’s more adaptable at the moment, not just staying on the last line, it helps in building up as well.
“We spoke about spaces, what I want to see from the centre-forward and big spaces.

Miovski echoed those thoughts, telling Sky Sports: “It feels good. I work really hard.
“As a player I know you need to have consistency. I’ve played three games in a row, I feel better and better in every game. hopefully I will continue this way.
“As a football player sometimes you don’t score but you need to keep working hard. I did that, I didn’t forget how to score goals and I know that will come.”
