Rangers ‘like’ Crystal Palace winger Rak-Sakyi

Although head coach Russell Martin is unsure as to whether Jesurun Rak-Sakyi will move to Ibrox, the Crystal Palace winger is a player Rangers “like.”

The 22-year-old has had loan spells at Sheffield United and Charlton Athletic, where he has scored 22 goals in 96 senior-level games.

I liked him at Southampto, he said. We attempted to take him there, but it didn’t quite, according to Martin.

He’s a player I like, and I believe the hiring staff likes him, so to speak. I’m not too sure, though, how far that has come.

Players are very different, according to Martin, who oversaw Tuesday’s 2-0 Champions League second qualifying round first-leg victory over Panathinaikos. “We just need players with the right mindset who are desperate to come and play here,” he continued. In four weeks, we’ll see where we’ll end up.
