With the NFL’s “Black Monday” in full swing, the Las Vegas Raiders’ head coach Pete Carroll, the Cleveland Browns’ Kevin Stefanski, and Jonathan Gannon have all been fired.

Carroll, 74, who previously played for the Seattle Seahawks for 14 years and won a Super Bowl, only had one season with the Raiders.

Owner Mark Davis made the announcement that Tom Brady would step down as head coach after a terrible 3-14 season, which would be the worst overall record in the NFL, along with Tom Brady, who has been assigned as a part-owner since the start of the 2021 season.

As NFL teams reset and make significant coaching adjustments for the new campaign, the day following the regular season has come to be known as “Black Monday.”

After finishing the 2025 season with a disappointing 5-12 record, the Browns took the first step, firing two-time coach of the year Stefanski, 43.

Stefanski made two play-off appearances with the Browns in his rookie season, earning them their first post-season victory in 26 years.

Dee and Jimmy Haslam, Browns’ owners, praised Stefanski as “a good football coach and an even better person,” but he also claimed a head coaching position change was required.

After the Cardinals’ final nine games ended 3-14, Gannon, 42, was relieved of his duties.

After impressing for the Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator, he was appointed, but his team never placed among the NFL’s top 20 during his three years in charge.
