Queen Camilla mingles with ITV stars and reveals she’s a hidden fan of hit crime show

In order to celebrate the network’s 70th anniversary, Queen Camilla attended a reception to meet a number of ITV stars, including Lorraine Kelly, Susanna Reid, and Brenda Blethyn. She also watched the filming of the hit drama Trigger Point starring Vicky McClure.

The Queen took charge of the clapperboard on the set of ITV’s Trigger Point as she watched a scene being filmed on location in central London. Her Majesty revealed that she was a fan of the show, having watched part of the first series.

She put on headphones to watch a scene being filmed live and appeared fascinated by the way the show is put together, with special effects and “bangs” added later. The Queen also expressed surprise at the 30lb weight of the bomb disposal suit worn by actress Vicky McClure, who stars in the crime drama as explosives officer Lana Washington.

Later, the Queen attended a reception celebrating the 70th anniversary of ITV, chatting to a host of stars from Lorraine Kelly and Mary Nightingale to Ellie Simmonds and Brenda Blethyn. After cutting a cake, the Queen declared herself the network’s “greatest fan”.

She continued, “I want to wish you all a very happy 70th birthday. Although I’m a little older, I do recall when ITV first aired on those incredibly old televisions in those days. I do recall having another channel all of a sudden. Absolutely brilliant to watch how you’ve appealed to the nation from there.

The Queen was met by Trigger Point executive producer Jed Mercurio and ITV’s chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall at Brent Cross Civic Centre. She was introduced to a number of actors on the show, including McClure, who was dressed up and ready to film a scene, and Nabil Elouahabi, who plays Hassan Rahim.

The Queen addressed McClure, “Lovely to meet you.” In your explosives officer kit, you look nice and warm. Have you found the process enjoyable? McClure responded, “I have watched it,” when she asked the Queen if she liked the show. I only have the first (series) to go, so I have a little more.. No, I don’t believe it to be very good. She said, “Third! ” when they told them they were filming the third series. very well-known.

Camilla was shown some of the props used by the military, including McClure’s bomb suit, by military advisor Paul Biddiss. He claimed that this was the lighter one, noting that one was 70 pounds. “Lighter”? The Queen responded. “Blimey”! McClure claimed that while wearing the heavier ones, it was difficult to walk in and that she felt “a little like Mr. Soft.” The Queen made a joke about being “like a robot.”

The actress laughed, “I struggle.” Camilla promised to “watch that with interest.” You can at least get a sense of what these heroes do, she told McClure.

She continued, “Because they are the real heroes,” while apologizing to Mr. Biddiss, who was a member of the Parachute Regiment. They do a fantastic job. The Queen then sat down in a production tent and was given headphones to listen in on the live-action montage.

Mercurio informed her that after the explosion, special effects would be added: “You’ll have to use your imagination, ma’am.” You won’t actually have the explosion, so why not? the Queen enquired. He made the joke that “if we do, it’s not to ours.”

Before rushing toward a building, McClure was captured on camera arriving on the scene in a van. when a production crew member yelled “bang”! McClure fell to the ground. The Queen told VFX director Mark Robinson, “I was all ready for the bang.” She also has a backpack with her, according to McClure, who wears that horrifyingly heavy suit.

The scene’s other parts would be filmed the following week in Osterley, according to The Queen. She responded, “It’s so clever. “As if it were a puzzle, like.” Then, Marioio instructed Camilla to point the clapperboard at the camera and be careful not to get her fingers entangled in the process. He then explained how to use it to signal the start of a new scene. The Queen then performed the honors, saying, “Trigger Point, take one.”
