Without his wife Meghan Markle, the Duke of Sussex had a lonely figure cut at a significant family gathering, and a lip reader has now discovered the heated exchange he had had with an ally of his own.
Prince Harry has made it clear just how desperate he is to heal his fractured bond with King Charles and the rest of The Firm, but a hidden whisper to a royal ally might come back to haunt him.
A secret peace summit between senior aides representing both Charles and his estranged son caused shockwaves last week as the pair seemingly edged closer to reconcilliation.
The meeting came a mere few months after a BBC bombshell interview where the Duke claimed that his father “won’t speak to him” due to his bitter legal battle over the level of security he is entitled to while in the UK.
Harry said, “Life is precious, it’s no use to fight anymore, no reason to fight anymore.” In response to Charles’ diagnosis, the Duke said, “I don’t know how long my father has,” in a move that is likely to shock the Palace.
The prince claimed that “some members of my family will never forgive me” for writing Spare, a powerful memoir, before adding: “It would be nice to have that reconciliation part now.” That entirely depends on them if they don’t want that.
A lip reader who has found a painful exchange between Harry and his cousin and longtime royal ally, Princess Eugenie, revealed that while Harry claims to be “ready to forgive,” his anger appeared palpable at his father’s Coronation.
The prince wasn’t spared as a result of a new Channel 5 program, Lip-Reading The Royals: The Secret Conversations, which airs tonight.
At his father’s coronation in 2023, Harry returned to his native land without his wife Meghan and their two children, cutting a lonely figure on the steps of Westminster Abbey. It was obvious that tensions remained high as his relatives gathered in the congregation to end the event.
The Duke then addressed a letter from one of the few royals he’s remained close to, saying, “I’ve spent five hours with my dad in his office without getting a text from either.”
The Duke appears to have not spoken to his brother in a while, despite it being unclear whether it is Charles and Camilla or William and Kate.
The lip reader then claims that he is then asked, “Why hasn’t anyone contacted me?” and Eugenie smiles aloud in agreement, but cautiously.
It comes as another exchange – this time between Harry and Meghan – is uncovered in the new TV show. The conversation occurred between the Sussexes at a Service of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey in 2018, just six months after their star-studded wedding in Windsor Castle.
The couple was joined in the Abbey by the entire royal family, including the late Queen Elizabeth to honour fallen servicemen and women, and to mark the Centenary of the Armistice.
According to the documentary, as Harry and Meghan sat and waited for the ceremony to begin, they started conversing and taking in the situation, with Meghan asking Harry a very serious question.
Before turning her head to the sea of royals that surrounded them, Lip reading expert Nicola Hickling claimed Meghan had instructed Harry to “take advantage of the situation” and that she had decoded the conversation for the program.
She claims that Meghan added, “Do it tonight,” and that Harry responded to her question by asking, “Today”? Meghan is then prompted by Harry’s question, “You realize that this is the end”? Meghan responds, “Yes, I do know.
Royal historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop then speculates that the Sussexes’ ostensibly private comments might indicate that the couple had been plotting their dramatic break from the royal family before they actually made the decision to call it quits.
