A body language expert said that there was one moment that seemed to enrage Harry after the release of their tell-all Netflix series.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have certainly divided the public since quitting royal life in 2020, but perhaps one of their most controversial moments came following the release of their Netflix docuseries in 2022.
In the second episode of the show titled Harry & Meghan, the duchess recalled her first meeting with the late Queen, which took place shortly after she started dating the prince in 2016.
Meghan claimed she had not been aware of her meeting with the British monarch until “moments before” and that she had not anticipated it.
Meghan first met my grandmother, according to Harry, who was the family’s first female. She “had no idea what it all contained.” So she experienced a little shock in the system.

Meghan recalled that while they were on their way to meet the Queen, Prince Harry asked her if she knew how to curtsy. “We were in the car, driving and he’s like: ‘You know how to curtsy right?’ and I just thought it was a joke,” the duchess admitted.
Prince Harry then acknowledged the difficulty of explaining the royal protocol to his American girlfriend, telling the camera: “How do you explain that to people? How do you explain that you bow to your grandmother? And that you would need to curtsy, especially to an American. That’s weird.”
Meghan then compared the protocol to “Medeval Times, Dinner and Tournament,” an American dinner theater with staged medieval-style games like jousting and Meghan realized that she would need to curtsy to the Queen.
Meghan then performed a theatrical deep curtsy while seated next to Harry on the coach, sweeping her arms wife and bowing her head dramatically.
“That’s how it was. Like, I curtzed as though I were, Meghan continued as she made her impression. I’m pleased to meet you, Your Majesty.
Some viewers, who viewed Meghan’s actions as disrespectful, did not like the situation. And Harry was also less than impressed, in the opinion of a body language expert.
Jess Enrique Rosas said at the time, “The first part of Harry’s reaction tells me that he knew what was coming,” referring to the Duke’s apparent discomfort. Even though Meghan speaks quickly and joyfully, he still has no connection to or empathy for him. Notice what happens to his throat when he is swallowing because he is taking it seriously and possibly even yawning.
The expert also outlined Prince Harry’s “contempt” at Meghan’s comments, noting that his face flushed as she performed the exaggerated bow. “He is looking at Meghan and he displays contempt. A split second after that, he looks away and presses his jaw,” the body language expert explained.
“You can see that he feels ashamed or angry,” he said, “but the cheeks, the nose bridge, the temples, and the cheeks are much redder.
“I’m going to explain to you why this is covert anger rather than Harry being ashamed. He would have grinned a little more or [had] a nervous laughter if he had been ashamed.
