Just two months away from giving birth to her first child, Georgia Harrison is positively glowing. And while many mums-to-be might be feeling the nerves kick in, the former Love Island star is happily going through the motions. “I can’t wait to give birth, I’m really looking forward to it,” beams Georgia, 30, as OK! catches up with her at the celeb-filled Superdrug Presents event in East London. “I’ve got the mentality of, ‘Why get nervous about something that is definitely going to happen?’ If I’ve got to face any troubles or adversity, I’ll deal with it when I get there. At the moment I’m just so excited.”

Georgia is expecting a little one with her partner Jack Stacey, 33, whom she met through a dating app last summer. The couple announced their pregnancy news in April after a whirlwind 10-month romance, as Georgia sweetly said, “I still can’t believe I’ve finally got everything I ever wanted and I couldn’t be more grateful.”

When it comes to her experience with pregnancy so far, Georgia – who is displaying her bump in a stunning crop top and blazer combo at the time of our interview – says it’s not been the easiest seven months, but she’s finding her glow again now.

“This third trimester has been really good. During the second I was really tired and unmotivated, to be honest. It was nothing compared to what other women experience, as some people are spending the whole pregnancy with their head down the toilet! So I do feel blessed in that way. But I definitely didn’t feel like the normal version of me and was groggy before. Although, recently, I’m back in the gym and feeling like myself again, so I think it’s just understanding that and going through the motions, isn’t it?”

The reality star and her beau have decided to keep the gender as a surprise until labour, with Georgia “excited” to find out whether she has a little girl or boy on the way.

There isn’t long to go either, with Georgia set to give birth on 5 November as she admits that the pregnancy has flown by for her. “It’s gone really fast, so now it’s just a countdown of getting everything done, I think it’s going to fly by. I’ve still been working. When you’re pregnant it does slow down and the opportunities slow down too. But anything I can do from home I have been doing.”

Between working and getting prepared to become parents, Georgia laughs that she and her partner have lost track of time when it comes to getting their lives baby-proofed.

“Me and Jack are definitely not prepared! We’re almost there with the nursery, but we have had some ups and downs. We ordered the wrong wallpaper and the wrong colour crib, so we had to send those back, but we are getting there! We’re doing a lot of flat-packing, once your relationship makes it through three days in a row of flat-packing, you know you’re doing well – it’s a real struggle,” she says with a joking eye roll.

Georgia’s romance with Jack came just months after she appeared on Love Island: All Stars last year, where she was looking for love on ITV2 for a second time. She left the villa with co-star Anton Danyluk, but split from the Scottish reality star four weeks later, then met city worker Jack and has since settled with him in Essex.

And while All Stars might seem like a lifetime ago for the star, she is looking forward to watching the next series of the show from the comfort of her own home – and with a baby in tow. “I really enjoyed watching this year’s series of Love Island, they did so well with the casting. I thought it was the most dramatic series ever, but I loved it. I’m just getting ready to watch All Stars now, I can’t wait. I’ve got no idea who will be on it, but I’m sure it will be a good watch.”

The star says Paul C Brunson gave her a ‘safe space’ to open up on his podcast

Georgia’s days of reality dating shows are firmly over, but she has been getting deep and personal in other ways, recently appearing on Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast. During the near-two-hour episode, Georgia opened up about previous relationship struggles, campaigning against revenge porn and life before Love Island.

Looking back at the experience, Georgia said, “It was amazing being on Paul’s podcast, he’s really, really good and is someone that makes sure you’re comfortable. He doesn’t make you feel like you’re on edge or that you need to talk about anything, it’s up to you what you talk about.

“Where he’s a trained therapist, I think that’s why he manages to get so much out of people. He just provides a safe space and you spill everything.”
