Power generation increased to 5, 713.60 megawatts on Tuesday, according to new data from the Transmission Company of Nigeria.
The 2025 generation achievement is the highest level it has been since four years ago, according to the most recent TCN data.
The TCN claims that the entire 5, 713MW of the Tuesday recording was a success.
On February 14, the nation generated 5.543MW.
“This was recorded on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 21: 30 hours, with the new generation peak of 5, 713.60 megawatts (MW), surpassing the previous peak generation of 5, 543.20MW achieved on February 14, 2025, by 170.40 MW”, the TCN stated.

It made it clear that despite having 88MW less than the 5th-century maximum peak generation recorded on March 1, 2021, it still represents a notable accomplishment.
Additionally, it noted that the month’s highest daily energy, which was 125 and 542.06 megawatts, increased from 125 and 159.48 megawatts.
