The club is now considering managerial options as West Ham’s head coach Graham Potter’s position comes under intense internal scrutiny.

Following a disappointing start to the season that deteriorated further after Saturday’s home defeat by Crystal Palace, Potter, 50, is increasingly under pressure to stay employed at the London Stadium.

The Hammers had begun looking for potential replacements for Potter, according to multiple sources, including BBC Sport, even before Saturday’s defeat, which was their fourth of five Premier League games.

One of the options West Ham have identified is Nuno Espirito Santo, who was recently fired by Nottingham Forest.

Slaven Bilic, who has previously played and managed the London club, has been the subject of internal discussions, according to sources.

Gary O’Neil, former manager of Bournemouth and Wolves, is also available, West Ham are aware of.

With only five games left in the season, it is clear that removing Potter so early in the new Premier League season is not ideal.

However, Potter’s future is still uncertain as they are beginning to look for potential replacements.

West Ham will face Everton next weekend before hosting Arsenal before the international break following today’s defeat to Oliver Glasner’s side.

Potter, who was appointed in January, won just six games in a row and has now won 25 of them.

We must work together, Potter said.

Since February 27th, West Ham has lost all three of their home games to London rivals Chelsea, Tottenham, and Crystal Palace. They haven’t won a Premier League game in front of their own fans since.

Despite being defeated, Potter characterized his team’s performance as “spirited.”

The former Chelsea and Brighton boss told Match of the Day, “It’s tough, the results are not what we want at all.”

“I feel for everyone who works for the club,” said the player. We must work together to arrive at a solution.

During the most recent home defeat, West Ham supporters chanted “sacked in the morning” at Potter.

“I didn’t hear anything, but I can feel the frustrations.” People should have their opinions, Potter continued.

“I have no complaints whatsoever about the club or the support we’ve received,” he said.

We must change and accept that. Finding that balance and solution is something we need to improve.

“I’m disappointed for the players, for the supporters at this time, and it’s challenging right now,” I said.

The club’s members experience pressure because of the club’s poor results. Simply put, you must face it up and make sure we’re stronger next week.

“Working with the players is the only option,” he said. We must strike the right balance and find the best course of action as they go through a difficult situation.

Everyone finds the situation difficult because it’s difficult.

Not looking good for Potter, to be sure.

Before the game on Saturday, thousands of West Ham fans protested the club’s governance and demanded resignations from vice-chair Karren Brady and chairman David Sullivan.

Wayne Rooney, a former England and Manchester United striker, said to BBC Sport after the game: “It seems like the fans want him out with the protests this week.

“It will be interesting to watch in 48 hours to see whether the board endorses him or rejects him.”

There is a lack of confidence in the team, they say. West Ham are currently at their best when confidence levels are low, which is how it feels when the world is at their side.

Danny Murphy, a former England international, said Hammers fans “expected more.”

The lack of creativity was the culprit. West Ham supporters have already made an investment in the market.

He was just entering the club at the beginning of the season, where you could understand it, but as the games progress, the confidence is waning.
