In Game Two of the NBA first-round play-offs, the Boston Celtics defeated the Orlando Magic 109-100 to defeat Kristaps Porzingis.

With one minute left in the third quarter, Orlando’s Goga Bitadze’s stray elbow caught Center Porzingis, who is 7’2″, on the forehead.

The 29-year-old Latvian was forced to take a trainer’s assistance after falling to the court with blood coming from the wound.

He was taken off to get medical attention, and he came home in the fourth quarter with a large plaster on his head.

Leading scorer Jayson Tatum was ruled out with a wrist injury, but Celtics’ Jaylen Brown scored a game-high 36 points.

Jimmy Butler also suffered a pelvic contusion in a hard fall that the Houston Rockets beat the Golden State Warriors 109-94.

The six-time NBA All-Star, who suffered a late-first quarter injury and missed the remainder of the game, will have an MRI on Thursday.

The Western Conference series was level at 1-1 thanks to Houston’s victory.

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Miami Heat 121-112 in the fourth quarter thanks to Donovan Mitchell scoring 17 of his 30 points.
