Tony was a technical wizard, according to fellow NI DJ Micky Modelle, who would “just lit up the room wherever he played.” He shared a picture on social media that read, “I just flew to Ibiza today to learn of DJ Tizer’s passing.

He “just lit up the room everywhere he played,” and we both have many fond memories of our performances. For the 30 years of friendship and memories we shared, I’m grateful.

A heartbreaking tribute was shared on Facebook by Jason Henderson, a friend of DJ Tizer and a local DJ himself. What an absolute hysteria was to have been asked to play along one of my heroes, he wrote. I’m writing this morning, which is insane.

My heart is truly broken, she says. A norn iron legend about this man. When we were younger, we all had his tapes. My fingers blur as I watched the man scratch the vinyl. One of the godfathers has been lost in the dance scene, lol! Today, you and Mallorca Lee will be rocking in heaven. I’m devastated.

“This guy gave me the opportunity to play alongside him at a few gigs.” The adrenaline rush, the excitement, and buzz will never go away. I’ll always be able to play alongside one of my heroes. I appreciate Tony Walsh, DJ TIZER! “Legends NEVER Die.”

Tony and I had a history of working together at the start of the company, but it was long before he and Eddie sold the store. There are so many wonderful memories and bizarre tales from the past. “Rest easy mate.”

One user wrote, “I believe I had all his tapes and I was convinced off being his No1 fan.” Another user also shared their own tributes. The King of Mixing and the King of Happy Hardcore are the chipmunk king and king of scratch. Kick in the Beat Up, Mate. RIP Tizer
