Police in Florida have launched a medical investigation into the death of Hulk Hogan. The wrestling icon, born Terry Bollea, died in a Florida hospital on Thursday morning after paramedics were called to his home and spent more than an hour battling to save his life – and now police have confirmed no foul play is suspected but they will be reviewing what happened, calling it a “standard” procedure.

Major Nate Burnside of the Clearwater Police Department stated in a press conference on Thursday that “the Clearwater Police Department is conducting a medical investigation, which is standard in these types of cases. At this time, this call for service has no indications of foul play or suspicious behavior.

He went on to detail the emergency call further, saying: “Clearwater Police Department responded to a house in the 1000 block of El Dorado Avenue for a medical related call just before 10 AM.

At the time, it was discovered that Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, was having a serious medical issue. At the time, Personnel treated Mr. Bollea and transported him to Morton Plant Hospital, where he passed away at 11:17 AM.

Hogan’s death was confirmed in a statement released by WWE shortly after the tragedy, which read: “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.

Hogan, one of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, helped the 1980s see the rise of WWE as a global force. The family, friends, and fans of Hogan are all in the WWE condolences.

Since having a negative impact on his neck during a cervical operation in June, Hogan had been reported to be in poor health.

The wrestling star was unable to talk and had been moved from his Morton Plant bed to his home for recuperation, according to his ex-manager and long-time friend Jimmy Hart.

Hogan was seen walking with a cane in February 2023, and wrestler Kurt Angle, 55, claimed the WWE veteran had lost all of his leg sensations after having surgery.

In addition to hospital stays, Hogan had several occasions before passing away. He underwent a four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion, a challenging neck procedure, in June.

His wife, 45-year-old Sky Daily, told fans on Instagram at the time he was recovering from the “intense surgery with a long and layered healing process”.

He’s also been breathing and using his feeding tubes, according to her claim that the operation also had impacted his vocal cords.

Sky continued, “He’s healing, and we’re taking it one day at a time with love, strength, and patience.”

Hogan was rumored to be in a coma, which Daily denied.
