The youth leader and another victim suffered gunshot wounds in an attack on the Igukpe community in Benin City, the capital of Edo state. The Edo Police Command made two arrests.

Moses Yamu, a spokesman for the Edo Police Command, gave a statement on Saturday that confirmed the attack.

The command was informed on February 28, 1920 that one Edobor Edwin, the former Okiaghele of the community, sporadically led thugs to the community shooting, which caused Victor Ogierioba and one Efe Agbaoghogho to die from gunshot wounds on the stomach and face, respectively, according to Yamu.

According to him, Betty Otimenyin, the police commissioner in Edo State, “has ordered the immediate transfer of the matter to the State CID.”
