Morgan has revealed that he has undergone surgery. The 60-year-old former Good Morning Britain anchor claimed to have had a hip replacement because his femur had broken so badly.
The journalist claimed he had slipped while eating at a restaurant in the capital and would need crutches for several weeks to recover. Additionally, he is prohibited from taking long-haul flights for three more months, and in an unanticipated turn, blamed President Donald Trump, his long-time friend, for it.
He wrote: “Breaking news! 1. stumbled on a small step. 2. in a restaurant in London. 3. femur fractured 4. I desperately needed a new hip. 5. recovering in a hospital. 6. [Sic] Crutches for 6 weeks. 7. No long-haul for 12 wks]sic]. 8. a fantastic start to the new year! 9. Donald Trump is my fault.
Piers also posted a picture of his fracture-stained X-ray that emerged following his fall on Instagram. Many of his well-known pals emailed his well-wishers after responding to his post.
Emily Maitlis, a former Newsnight host, said, “Nooooo. This is absurd,” along with heart-shaped emojis.
Eamonn Holmes, a veteran presenter who has had health issues as a result of his botched back surgery, expressed her sincere sympathies: “I am the expert in this field if you want advice or a visitor.
Former England international cricketer Monty Panesar also addressed the comments, saying: “We wish you a quick recovery so you can celebrate Arsenal’s success”!
At their annual Christmas party, Piers was photographed with his ex-co-host Susanna Reid and his wife Celia last month.
Following a heated argument over comments he made about Meghan Markle, for which he once more refused to apologize, Susanna was left speechless when Piers left Good Morning Britain in 2021.
Piers said he didn’t believe anything Meghan and Harry said in their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, including the Suits star’s admission that she had suicidal thoughts.
The outspoken journalist said in their interview that it was “one of the most disgusting attacks on our Royal Family, a monarchy, that I have ever seen. “
He continued, “I was not going to grovel and apologise to the people that perpetrated that attack,” insisting he wasn’t going to “grovel.” I then told them, “You can shove your job where the tiaras don’t shine.”
ITV stated in a statement that he had discussed leaving Good Morning Britain and that he had decided to do so. There is nothing more that ITV can add to this statement.
