Piers Morgan couldn’t resist but take a jibe at Oasis ahead of their reunion tour starting. Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are ready to take to the stage together for the first time in 16 years at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

And the former Good Morning Britain presenter made a cheeky dig at the duo’s infamous fallout that saw the band initially split. Taking to social media, Piers shared a snap of himself alongside Liam.

In the throwback snap shared on Twitter /X, Liam and Pier were sharing a glass of bubbly. He captioned the upload: “Good luck, lads ⁦@oasis ⁩ – try to make it to the second half before brawling on stage. @liamgallagher @NoelGallagher”

It comes after the Mancunian brothers’ huge fallout in 2009. Ever since, Liam and Noel have been involved in a bitter war of words for years. On August 28, 2009, lead guitarist and songwriter, Noel, quit the band ahead of a gig in Paris.

It came as Oasis were preparing to go onstage at the Rock En Seine festival. A row is said to have broken out, with Liam wielding Noel’s guitar around “like an axe”.

“He nearly took my face off with it,” Noel claimed, adding after that the show was cancelled, along with the rest of the tour.

The explosive row also saw Liam chuck a plum at his older brother. The fruit burst against the dressing room wall shortly before they were due on stage. Noel told Radio X: “Part of me wishes it did end like that – ‘plum throws plum’. “

He went on: “He storms out of the dressing room and on the way out, he picked up a plum and threw it across the dressing room and it smashes against the wall. ” Liam then began “swinging” a guitar, which Noel says was a “real unnecessary violent act”.

Thankfully for their fans, they have agreed to bury the hatchet, starting with tonight’s offering in Wales. The city of Cardiff has been taken over by Britpop fans, with pubs nearby the Principality Stadium seemingly bursting at the seams.

When those lucky enough to have got their hands on tickets get into the venue they will be treated to over two hours worth of tunes by the iconic hitmakers. It was revealed earlier in the week that Oasis will take to the stage at 8. 15pm before exiting at the 10. 30pm curfew.

It’s thought they will entertain the 74,500 crowd with 24 of their biggest tunes. While they hadn’t confirmed the setlist, leaks online seemingly showed fans what to expect.
