An unnamed number of people are fearing they are trapped in the Oyingbo neighborhood of Lagos after a two-story building collapses.

In a situation report, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service’s director, Margaret Adeseye, claimed the agency had received a distress call on Monday morning.

Adeseye explained that the building’s location on 54, Cole Street, Cemetery Bus Stop, had been marked “Distressed” prior to falling on the owners.

She revealed that 15 people, including four children and seven female adults who had varying degrees of injury, had been rescued and transported to the Federal Medical Center, Ebute Meta, and General Hospital, Odan, Lagos Island.

The building in Oyingbo collapsed, according to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service after receiving a distress call on Monday morning.
