The All Progressives Congress (APC) meeting will be attended by President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The president’s arrival at the event’s Presidential Villa venue set off the 14th NEC meeting.
Following Abdullahi Ganduje’s recent resignation, it was reported that the ruling party would choose a national chairman. However, it was not known if the NEC would take a definitive position regarding the zoning of the position.
Since then, Ganduje has assumed control of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
Although former Kano State governor Ganduje is from the North, the North-Central region is expected to be the APC national chairman’s seat.
Benue, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Kogi, and Kwara states were the initial boundaries of the position’s North-Central region.
Abdullahi Adamu, a former governor of Nasarawa State, held the position prior to Ganduje becoming the nation’s chairman.
Actor Ali Dalori currently occupies it.
Prior to his appointment, Dalori served as the party’s deputy national chairman (North).
