Following a prolonged downpour that lasted for several hours on Friday night, at least 100 homes were destroyed in Zogirma village, which is located in the Bunza Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
According to a resident of Bunza, Haruna Danmalam, many villagers suffered serious injuries as a result of the flooding, according to a resident of the town.

Umar Mawo, the local government chairman’s secretary for the Bunza Local Government Area, visited the affected area and expressed condolence to the victims.
He promised to send a detailed report on the incident to the state government for immediate action, as promised by the council to the residents.
In a related development, four Arewa Local Government Area villages, Tungar Chindo, Tungar Kure, Feske Malabawa, and Feske Rafi, were also submerged in water. Along with livestock and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of real estate, over 60 homes were destroyed.
