Perrie Edwards has become a mother for the second time as she has announced the arrival of her baby girl! The Little Mix star shared news of the arrival on Saturday, January 17, with an adorable black-and-white photograph of the newborn.
The baby girl – who they have called Alanis Valentine – is Perrie’s second baby with her footballer fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and a little sister for their four-year-old son Axel. The singer, 32, announced she was pregnant again in September 2025, sharing a snap of Axel kissing her growing bump.
She didn’t offer any details about the choice of name, but it could be a nod to one of her 2011 X Factor audition songs – You Oughta Know, by Canadian-American singer Alanis Morissette.

Her announcement post was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from some of her 18.6m followers, including her former Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who wrote: “Perfect little angel”.
Girls Aloud star and mum-of-three Kimberley Walsh also commented, writing: “The best news, so happy for you all”, and Turn It Up singer Pixie Lott added: “Congratulations, so beautiful!!!”.
Jade Thirlwall, another Little Mix member, said she was “so happy” for the new family of four, and added “can’t wait to meet her”. N-Dubz singer and former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos described the tot as a “little angel”, and Fleur East, whose daughter Nova was born in March 2024, also sent her congratulations to the happy couple.

Black Magic songstress Perrie, who got engaged to England footballing ace Alex in June 2022, revealed last year that she had suffered two heartbreaking miscarriages before falling pregnant with her daughter. One of these happened late in her pregnancy, at 24 weeks, the year after she gave birth to her son Axel, in August 2021.
The singer spoke about her baby loss on Paul Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast, and described being told at her five-month that the baby’s heart had stopped beating as an “out of body” experience.
“I remember sobbing,” she said through tears. “I couldn’t see straight. I was just distraught. We basically lost the baby at, like, 24 weeks.” She also described son Axel as a “rainbow baby”, revealing she suffered an earlier miscarriage during her first ever pregnancy.

“I’ve never spoke about it before because obviously I ended up a wreck and nobody knows other than immediate friends and family,” she told the podcast.
But in September last year the couple delighted their fans with the news that they were expecting again. A black-and-white clip posted to Perrie’s Instagram page showed the South Shields-born star with her back to the camera, wearing a T-shirt which said “If he wanted to, he would….”.
She then turned to face the camera, revealing the words “…And he did” on the front of the shirt, before Alex joined in for a cuddle.
