Peppa Pig’s mother gave her the sweetest name and made her a big sister once more this morning as she welcomed a second baby girl.
The heartwarming meaning behind Peppa Pig’s new baby sister has been revealed after Mummy Pig gave birth to her third child on Tuesday morning. The Peppa Pig universe has grown a little bigger with the arrival of another baby girl, as Mummy Pig welcomed a new piglet into her family.
The happy news was shared on Good Morning Britain, where it was announced that the newborn, named Evie, was delivered at 5:34 AM. Fans of the beloved animated family have been following the pregnancy journey closely ever since Mummy Pig stunned viewers back in February, making the surprise announcement live on Good Morning Britain that she was expecting again.
Fans squealed with delight when it was revealed a young girl was arriving at a spectacular gender reveal party at London’s Battersea Power Station last month, which raised new levels of excitement.
Mummy Pig, who already shares Peppa and George with Daddy Pig, has now discovered the sweet meaning of Evie’s name. The devoted mother-of-three named her son after her late aunt. Peppa stated in a video on Good Morning Britain that “Daddy Pig has just shared these images with me of her brand-new baby sister Evie, who is dubbed “Mummy Pig’s Aunt Evie.”
Mummy Pig claimed in a letter to Grazia last month that she had a number of boy names on her sleeve but wasn’t yet committed to a girl one. We have a lot of names to choose from. She admitted to telling the publication that there were “too many.”
“I’m not sure Peter, Percy, or Patrick Pig really work as girls’ names because knowing it’s a girl has narrowed our options down a little.” However, the decision is now too difficult. We’ll just have the perfect name when she comes here and searches for Daddy Pig and me. When Peppa and George were born, we did that.
For those wondering where baby Evie made her grand entrance – the Peppa Pig family spared no expense. Mummy Pig welcomed her third child at the Lindo Wing in London – the same location where Kate Middleton gave birth to all three of her children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
A single night at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington costs £5, 900, while premium deluxe packages cost £7, 500.
Big brother George and big sister Peppa are said to be “over the moon” at home and counting the days until they can snuggle up to their new sibling. Mummy and Daddy Pig, the proud parents, said they are “looking forward to many happy snorts and sleepless nights.”
And attendees won’t have to wait long to participate in the event themselves. Peppa Meets the Baby, a brand-new movie special, will be available in over 2,600 theaters in 19 nations on May 30. Ten brand-new episodes will be a part of the hour-long musical event, following Peppa and George as they prepare for the arrival of their baby sister.
Ahead of the big screen release, the gender reveal episode premiered on the Peppa Pig Tales YouTube channel on May 3, giving fans an early look at the moment that had everyone squealing with excitement.
Peppa Pig has grown to be a global phenomenon since its 2004 debut, appearing on television in 180 different countries, being translated into 40 different languages, and creating a billion-dollar book, toy, and theme park empire.
