On Friday, Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel celebrated the win over Welsh rivals Cardiff on the same day his sister got married.
Peel attended the wedding, then traveled to Cardiff to assist his team in winning the United Rugby Championship (URC) game 21-17, before making his last-minute return to west Wales.
Peel, who hoped to return to the family celebrations in time for “a cheeky Guinness,” said Peel, “after attending the wedding for about an hour.”
Scarlets’ previous defeat at Cardiff’s home ground returning in 2019 extended their winning streak at Arms Park.

“Davis is the ultimate professional,” Davies claims.
Scarlets were sin-binned when three players started playing in a game in which Cardiff predominated territory and possession, but they held on for only their second league title this year.
Joe Hawkins converted the conversion and clocked in at Eddie James’ center to give Scarlets the lead.
After Josh Macleod and Davies both received yellow cards, Cardiff responded with a try from Mason Grady.
Just before the break, Callum Sheedy scored a penalty to give Cardiff a lead, but Josh Adams’ second try gave the visitors a second try. Gareth Davies then scored twice.
With an hour gone, Johnny Williams was sent off as the third Scarlets player to receive a yellow card, but Cardiff could not contain themselves.
Peel claimed that it wasn’t great for nerves.
“We fought hard, but we were put in a difficult position by three yellow cards.”
We seized our opportunities when they came, and I believed our battles turned out to be excellent. A fantastic victory.
For the third time in a row, Davies, a 35-year-old scrum-half from Wales, scored two tries at Arms Park.
Because he’s the ultimate professional and keeps himself in top shape, Peel said, “I can’t recommend him highly enough.”

We’re not happy with that, host Van Zyl, the boss of Hosts, and that’s a lesson for us.
“I believe we had effective systems in place, particularly near the line,” he said.
They were successful, and they are now a top-notch team.
We had 22 entries in their 22, and if you don’t capitalize on any of them, you can’t help but bet on them.
They capitalized on their opportunities and created the better team, according to the statement.
When Cardiff host Dragons on December 26th, they will now turn their attention to another home derby.
“We’ll have a review of the Scarlets game, and it’ll almost be a reality check,” van Zyl declared.
