On Wednesday, a Juma’at Mosque in Gamboru Ward, in the heart of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, was the scene of a report from Channels Television that allegedly belongs to Boko Haram insurgents detonated an IED at the entrance to the Customs area.
Muslim worshippers were observing the Maghrib prayer on Wednesday, less than 12 hours before Christmas, at around 6:10 p.m.
Residents reported to Channels Television via telephone that many worshipers were either killed or injured despite the uncertainty of the incident’s details.
