Pauline Quirke’s family has taken to Instagram to issue a pressurized warning about the Birds of a Feather star’s fabricated, AI-generated images.

Pauline Quirke’s family have slammed AI-created images of the star. The Birds of a Feather actress, 66, withdrew from public life following her dementia diagnosis in 2021, and her family have now turned to Instagram to denounce fake photographs. Some show Pauline lying in bed alongside her husband Steve Sheen.

On the social media platform, they posted, “Please be aware that all of the images and posts about Pauline Quirke are AI-generated.

No one is familiar with Pauline’s condition other than her family and close friends. Don’t share or believe articles, graphics, or updates from unofficial sources. These fabricated posts cause no unnecessary worry and make people cry all the way.

Let’s rely only on confirmed, official statements and respect Pauline and her family’s privacy, they continued. Please share to prevent the spread of misinformation.

The former Emmerdale actress’s dementia diagnosis became public knowledge last year, though her son Charlie Quirke disclosed in November that Pauline could still identify her relatives.

He revealed to BBC Breakfast: “My mum knows exactly who we are. Every time she sees all of us, she smiles, laughs, says ‘I love you’, says ‘hello’.”

Steve, Quirke’s spouse, acknowledged that they are unsure of the actress’s position on dementia, which causes cognitive and memory deterioration. He continued, “Unfortunately, we are not in a situation where we can do much about it.” Simply put, take every day and try to make the most of it.

At Pauline’s diagnosis, Steve and Charlie revealed their initial “disbelief.” Steve recalled, “We looked at each other and said, No, it can’t be. You have the flu, COVID, it’s long. ‘”.

Charlie continued, “I’m surprised that this was possible in a woman in her 60s, and it can happen to people in their 50s and 40s.” You must deal with and learn about it, then.

In Birds of a Feather, Quirke was best known for playing Sharon Theodopolopodous in the series that spanned decades. The 66-year-old was also nominated for a Bafta in 1997 for her role in the BBC drama The Sculptress, which featured a convicted murderer.

She received an MBE in 2022 for her contributions to charities, young people, and the entertainment industry.
