Paul Hollywood rushes to pilot’s aid after horror plane crash in field

After crashing his plane into a field, Bake Off star Paul Hollywood was able to save him from a collision in Thorne Hill Minster, according to a pilot.

A pilot was saved from a plane crash by Paul Hollywood yesterday.

A pilot has recounted how Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood came to his rescue after he was left blinded and struggling to breathe when his plane crashed. At noon yesterday, shortly after departing from Manston Airport in Kent, disaster struck for 58-year-old Iain Stingemore when he found himself plummeting to the ground just moments after taking to the skies.

Between the catastrophic failure and his plane crashing into a field close to Thorne Hill, Minnesota, the pilot had 15 seconds to act.

However, celebrity baker Paul Hollywood came to his rescue in an extraordinary twist of fate, with the Channel 4 star practising flying nearby. The Great British Bake Off judge was mid-way through a flying lesson withPolar Helicopters when he made an impromptu landing to rush to Stingemore’s aid.

The shaken gas engineer recounting the incident to KentOnline, said that Paul Hollywood was checking if I was okay while he was taking a flying lesson, adding, “It wasn’t how I planned to meet him, but he checked if I was okay.” I said to him, “I don’t think you intended to do this during your lesson,” I don’t think so.

People from all over Manston rushed to get the plane back after the local community quickly rallied to support it. Despite the agonizing ordeal, Mr. Stingemore attributed his thorough training and flight knowledge to his successful escape.

Following a “emergency aircraft landing,” five fire engines responded to the scene. While Mr. Stingemore escaped with minor injuries, only getting a “damaged pride” and a graze on his leg.

When Mr. Stingemore described the accident as “I was about to fly back to Stoke in Medway.” The canopy came off about 15 seconds before I landed as I was leaving Manston and crossing the road to the right.

“I was climbing about a hundred feet. I was unable to breathe or see anything.

Mr. Stingemore described a neighbor’s well-intentioned but comically improvised efforts as “the owner of the house next door rushed out to help,” adding a lighter note to the story. He purchased a box of rusty tools to move the aircraft to the airport.

Since Mr. Stingemore’s previous one is beyond repair, he is already planning his return to the skies tonight in a different aircraft.
