Nikita Parris, an England international, has signed for the newly promoted London City Lionesses from Brighton.
Parris, who won the 2022 European Championship with England, has agreed to a two-year contract.
The 31-year-old helped Brighton finish fifth in their most recent Women’s Super League campaign, earning their best-ever finish.
Parris referred to the project as “very ambitious”. “I’m really looking forward to meeting all the girls and starting.”
Parris has previously won the Champions League with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Lyon.
She left Brighton on July 22 because her contract was up.
Ronald Thompson, the director of football for the London City Lionesses, said: “She brings top-level experience and a winning mentality, and she’ll be a fantastic role model for our group’s younger players.”
