Sui Northern defeated Pakistan TV to win the President’s Trophy, breaking a 232-year record.

Sui Northern were bowled out for 37 in Karachi’s National Stadium after being given a winning score of 40 runs.

Oldfield held the previous record with a victory over Marylebone Cricket Club in August 1794 when they won by six runs on a defensive run.

Mohammad Waseem, head coach of PTV, told AFP, “I am delighted with my team’s world-record effort.”

The guiding principle of my team is to “fight until the last ball” never expires.

In their opening inning, Sui Northern defeated Pakistan TV for 166 runs to take the 72-run lead.

Sui Northern struggled on a deteriorating pitch, but Pakistan TV were dismissed for 111 in the second innings, which appeared to set them up for a win.

Ali Usman won 6-9, and Amad Butt won 4-8 to advance.

With the victory, Sui Northern and Pakistan TV move up the table after four games to take the lead.
