Comedian Paddy McGuinness showed his impressive body transformation after saying he had ‘let myself go’ during two months of binge eating and drinking

Paddy McGuinness has revealed his very dramatic new look. The telly star stunned his followers as he showed off his impressive body transformation – with some joking that he had used AI for the comparisons. The comedian, 52, shared a before and after image as he admitted he couldn’t believe how much he had “let myself go”.

Explaining how he had been binging for just under two months, the Take Me Out presenter stood in grey sports joggers with his belly on show. He followed it up by sharing a topless snap in his gym, looking considerably more toned.

In his comedic ways, he joked that his tan had helped show off his results. He captioned his impressive 75-day transformation: “I still can’t believe how much I’d let myself go.

“That before pic is the result of just under two months of binge eating — beer, cakes, and biscuits! The effect it had on my body, and more importantly, my mind, was staggering.”

He went on to tell fans he will post a more in-depth time-lapse of his efforts next week. “It really is amazing what can be achieved in such a short period of time… if you’ve got the willpower,” he continued. “I thoroughly enjoyed taking on the Hard 75 challenge, and now I’m on the lookout for the next one! Challenges like Hard 75 aren’t for everyone, but if you’ve got even an ounce of willpower, why not give something a whirl? PS, the tan helps.”

The fitness plan has gone viral and involves participants going to the gym twice a day. They must also drink large quantities of water to optimise their fitness levels over the course of just two and a half months.

It was created in 2019 by US-based author and podcaster Andy Frisella. It’s claimed the plan helps to trigger “physical and mental transformations” through five key elements.

The elements include two 45-minute workouts per day, drinking eight pints of water daily, quitting alcohol and eating a generally healthy diet. Participants must also dedicate at least 10 minutes per day to reading non-fiction in order to boost their mental fitness.

One of the toughest elements of the challenge is said to be needing to restart from Day 1 if any of the six goals are missed. Paddy didn’t reveal whether he had to do this.

Among those praising his new look was fellow presenter Matt Baker. The Countryfile star wrote: “That’s brilliant!” He added four clapping hands emotions.

Scarlette Douglas echoed the sentiment. She wrote: “Paddy, you look bloody brilliant!” And former Love Island star Chris Hughes also praised his efforts. However, radio host Andy Goldstein jokingly claimed it wasn’t real. He wrote: “AI is getting out of hand now!”

Other celebs to have previously spoken about taking part in the Hard 75 plan include singer Joanna “JoJo” Levesque. JoJo and actress Madison LeCroy. Sharing more on her own progress last year, Madison told her Instagram followers she was not using “secret recipes”.

She also said: “No homemade sauces and definitely no lettuce fresh from my garden (because I don’t have one!). I simply make foods and meals I enjoy, especially when I’m working on a program like 75 Hard. I’m happy y’all are excited about it!”
