Ozzy Osbourne, the frontman of Black Sabbath, exuded a more softer and emotional side during a photo shoot with friends and family just before the music icon passed away.
Proud grandpa Ozzy Osbourne welled up with pride during his last photoshoot with many of his closest rock star pals and family – just 18 days before his death.
The rock legend stated to friends during the shoot that his life’s focus was “being with my family and my grandchildren.” Sid, Ozzy’s emotional grandson, will follow in his footsteps as an entertainer, according to emotional Ozzy’s statement to a host of famous musicians.
The two-year-old’s mother is the Black Sabbath rocker’s daughter Kelly, and the 76-year-old had forged a wonderful relationship with her. Ozzy boasted that Sidney, who was born in November 2022, already had musical talent during his visits, according to the star’s friends. One musician, who declined to be identified, recalled how Ozzy “could not stop beaming as he spoke about Sidney and how he didted on the child.”
On July 4, photographer and long-time friend Ross Halfin took photos of Ozzy with family members and Sidney on his lap. Who had agreed to play in what would become the highest-grossing charity show of all time was a celebration and thank you for the acts?

There were also pics taken of Ozzy with the biggest stars from Rock and metal who would go on to appear alongside him in the Back To The Beginning show a day later at Villa Park. Lass than three weeks later, Ozzy would pass away.
The insider claimed that “Ozzy just loved gushing about Sidney’s voice and talent.” When he had him on his lap laughing and playing around, there was a real connection between them. At that time, Ozzy could see that he was actually the smitten grandpa, whose child was his star. Sidney would be the next generation of musicians to fly the family’s flag, according to Ozzy’s many attendees.
They both performed at home. He claimed that his main goals in life are now to be with his family and to be a grandfather. He cherished each of his grandchildren so much. They will struggle with his loss.
The inspiration for bringing the talent together was Sharon and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine. Steven Tyler, Metallica, Axl Rose and Slash of Guns N’ Roses, Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Tool, Grija, Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, and Jonathan Davis of Korn were the guest artists at the bash.
The Ozzy documentary Back To The Beginning on Paramount was the subject of the photo shoot. Ozzy was extremely moved to see so many famous people come out and bid him farewell, the source continued. He kept saying things like, “I don’t know what to f***ing say,” as they praised him. Really, it was overwhelming but very powerful.
Ozzy also suggested that his time be spent away from the spotlight after the May show to the Guardian. He said, “It’s time for me to spend some time with my grandkids.”
I’m not interested in passing away in someplace in my hotel room. The rest of my life should be spent with my family. No Escape From Now, an ode to the singer’s struggles with a number of health issues, will debut on Paramount + in late 2025.
