Fans are now calling for a biopic about the Black Sabbath frontman in the wake of the sad news of his passing because Ozzy Osbourne has long been a hard rock icon and screen legend.

Music icon Ozzy Osbourne possessed a distinctive brand of humour that captivated his fans – which is just one of the reasons behind the outpouring of love for him upon his death.

The Prince of Darkness, who was beloved as Black Sabbath’s lead singer and through his individual musical endeavors, passed away yesterday (Tuesday, July 22), at the age of 76. He was also renowned for his funny irreverent humor and distinctive personality.

That was displayed in an interview back in 2010 at a never-before-seen level. The legendary frontman was then a mix of a reality TV star and a musician.

In the early 2000s, Ozzy made his unique style of comedy known to audiences for the first time in the groundbreaking MTV reality series “The Osbournes.” Later in his life, he starred alongside his children, Jack and Kelly, in The Osbournes Want to Believe and with his wife Sharon in Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour.

His remarkable journey has been documented in several films, including The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne, which was broadcast on BBC Four in 2021. And now, supporters are demanding a biographical film to honour his legendary status.

His son Jack has revealed that they may have granted their wishes. He disclosed that a “phenomenal” filmmaker is attached, and that the screenplay is being revised. A biopic is “on the way.”

Jack asserts that the image would be “raw” and that he is not punching anyone. However, it is the most important thought that everyone has.

Who would play the lead role in a heavy metal legend of Ozzy’s magnitude and do the demanding portrayal?

Some devoted fans have noticed that Ozzy had already chosen the actor who would play him in a movie about his existence. Ozzy was asked this question during a conversation in 2010 well before his passing.

Without prior authorization, content cannot be displayed.

Host Chris Hardwick posed the question, “Who would you choose to play you in a movie about your life?” during an interview on The Nerdist podcast.

Ozzy delivered a typically blunt two-word response, in true Ozzy fashion. Denzel Washington, the frontman of Black Sabbath, simply responded, “Denzel Washington.”

Supporters praise the incident as a perfect illustration of the rocker’s signature wit, which has now been transformed into a meme that has gone viral on social media since Ozzy’s passing. The American actor should now make an appearance in the upcoming biographical movie, according to fans of Ozzy’s work.

Taking to Instagram, one fan commented: “Hopefully Someone who is probably working on the Ozzy biopic just needs to make this happen (or maybe put Denzel in a post credit scene where he’s singing Crazy Train or War Pigs in costume).”
