Ozzy Osbourne passed away at the age of 76. The Black Sabbath legend, known to millions as The Prince of Darkness, had been battling ill-health in recent years, which caused him to finally bow out of his performing career. His family provided for him.

In a statement, the Osbourne family, including Ozzy’s wife, Sharon, their daughter Kelly, their son Jack and Ozzy’s son, Louis, said he died on Tuesday. They said: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

He was surrounded by love and his family. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis are the members. “Ozzy’s former Black Sabbath bandmates have also issued moving statements.

The Changes musician was suffering from Parkinson’s disease in the lead-up to his death. He completed a rigorous training program to play a sizable show in Birmingham on July 5th, dubbed Back To The Beginning.

Sharon, Ozzy’s wife, stated in the run-up to the show that Ozzy is “working with his therapist every day.” He’s doing really well, actually. Ozzy’s number one thing in life is his fans, so he’s working hard to be ready for them, to make this show the perfect way to end things. “

Ozzy missed the Rock ‘N’Roll Hall of Fame induction in America last year because of his health. At the Back To The Beginning show, Ozzy performed on a black throne as he was unable to stand.

Ozzy, who has had numerous back and neck surgeries, requested assistance from a specialized rehab therapist in Los Angeles to allow him to stand on stage for a while, walk more freely, and feel more balanced.

It comes just weeks after his youngest daughter, Kelly, became engaged in front of Ozzy and Sharon at the Back To The Beginning concert at Villa Park. In the days after his Villa Park show, Ozzy also met dedicated fans who had spent hours queuing up to see him at Comic Con Midlands, alongside his wife Sharon, daughter Kelly, and son Jack.

Following the announcement that the musician had passed away, a fan who met Ozzy at Comic Con admitted to feeling “numb.” Singer Pip Marsh was one of the few fans who were able to get a picture with the Prince of Darkness and explained that growing up, he always felt a connection to Osbourne due to living in close proximity to Ozzy’s hometown.

The Beatles were some of Ozzy’s musical influences as a child.

Kids in school nicknamed him Ozzy, short for his surname. He adored Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and The Four Seasons as a youngster. The Beatles made a huge impression.

“They came from Liverpool, which was approximately 60 miles north of where I come from”, he told Billboard. So I was suddenly in my grasp, but I never imagined it would succeed as it did.

In the late 1960s, just before The Beatles split, Osbourne had teamed up with Butler, guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward as the Polka Tulk Blues Band. They made the decision to rename the band Earth, but they discovered that there was another band that bore that name. So they changed the name to the American title of the classic Italian horror movie “I Tre Volti Della Paura”, starring Boris Karloff: Black Sabbath.

“Six months before this was taken (around 2006), I went to LA to interview the great man. I was banjo’d with jet lag and he suggested I do what all the great rock stars did – buy some brown paper, trace a line around my feet, cut out the shape of my sole and put the extra layer inside my shoe. He convinced me, but his pals in the room supported him.

” These pictures were taken on the run up to the Brits and he asked how I got on with the mystical cure. I told him that was wrong and that it was ineffective. When he started giggling I knew I’d been stitched up. Not before I told loads of folk to try it.

“I’m not some weirdo depressed daughter that’s afraid of the world and locks herself in her room all day; I just didn’t choose to do the show,” Aimee has openly stated on American television.

” I want to be a singer, and I felt if I’d stayed with the Osbournes and done the whole thing I would have been typecast right away. We definitely struggled with disagreements because [Mum] was hurt and we definitely had a difficult time. I’m more reserved and my private life is very important. “

Aimee’s decision to avoid the family’s fame has also been discussed by Sharon. She said in 2018:” She felt too that she didn’t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea – it was appalling to her, “and added with regret”, And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did. When she moved, it broke my heart.

Ozzy also had three children from his first marriage to Thelma Riley, as the pair welcomed a daughter, Jessica and a son, Louis. Elliott, Thelma’s son, was also adopted by him.

Radio 1’s Jack Saunders breaks down on air

While broadcasting live on BBC Radio 1, presenter Jack Saunders became emotional as he delivered the news of Ozzy’s death.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away suddenly at the age of 76, according to him. Jack went on to add:” The Prince of Darkness himself, the frontman of one of the most important heavy metal bands, Black Sabbath, whose second album, Paranoid, remains without doubt the most influential metal album of all time.

You’ll know when I say, “If you’ve had a chance to listen to the album, you’ll know.” But if not, the riffs were cutthroat and raw and I mean, there really wasn’t a consideration to be something or play up to a certain way. There was only concern to be heard.

The album’s opening song was “And this song from Black Sabbath tonight that I want to play you from.” It was emblematic, set the tone and completely ambitious in its time, which was 1970, by the way. This sounded fresh, original, and exciting straight off the back of The Beatles’ chokehold.

“And Ozzy’s voice felt timelessly evil, filled with temptation and snare. There was no way once you heard Ozzy do his thing that you were going anywhere but listening to Black Sabbath. Ozzy Osbourne, who had previously shaped the sound of rock and roll, transformed himself into the Prince of Darkness on this track and beyond. Rest in peace, to a legend”.
