Caroline, the 60-year-old mother of Adam Peaty, said: “Mark has said he doesn’t want me to cry all day.”

Caroline, the family’s devastated mother, has explained how they will act in a distracting manner while the Olympian marries Holly Ramsay in Bath today despite her removal from the service. She had planned to arrive and watch quietly from a distance, but she realized it would risk ruining his big day.

Instead she explained that the family would go out together while swimmer Adam, 30, and Holly, 25, who is the daughter of millionaire chef Gordon Ramsay, are getting married infront of big-name guests including David and Victoria Beckham. Speaking about her husband, Caroline said: “Mark has said that he doesn’t want me crying all day.”

She stated in an interview to the Mail that the couple’s current plan is to drive close to their Staffordshire home if the weather is good. “We’re surrounded by beautiful countryside here, so we’ll go out and just try to distract ourselves a little,” she said.

After cheering Adam on, Mavis gained some Olympic fame by trending online with the hashtag #OlympicNan. She later said, “I’ve loved every second of it.” Since Adam has been as well-known as he is, I have never experienced what I have.

The sole representative of Adam’s family at the wedding today is expected to be his sister Bethany, 32, who is one of Holly’s bridesmaids. Adam’s mother Caroline, father Mark and wider family will not be there but Holly’s dad Gordon, her sisters Tilly and Megan and brother Jack will be, alongside her mum Tana.

The two families come from quite different backgrounds. Holly has grown up around money thanks to Gordon’s soaring TV career and restaurant empire. They have long divided their time between a £6.9million Bel Air mansion, an elegant £7million home in London, and a £7.5million seaside retreat in Cornwall.

Meanwhile, Adam’s father, a nursery manager and caretaker at Lidl, struggled financially as a child. His family even gave up his vacation time so he could compete in national swimming competitions. There are tales of neighbors barging together for gas so that he could pursue his swimming acclaim in the UK.

He once told the Guardian, “My mother worked on the other side of Stoke, and I trained in Derby.” That is a long way to go. My mother would take me to the pool in Derby at 4:30 am and I would wake up at 4:30 am.

God knows that she would drive me home for two hours, have breakfast, then spend the next fifty minutes there, and then work the entire day from 8 am to 5 pm. Then, after two more hours of waiting, I’ll go back to Derby and pick me up. She wouldn’t arrive home until 8 or 10 pm. Of course, the sacrifices paid off when Adam won an Olympic gold medal, of course.

Caroline Peaty, 60, was reportedly snubbed at Holly’s hen do earlier this year, when rumors suggested she “might have stubbed a little” among the wealthy and wealthy guests.
