
One person was killed in an auto accident at the Idi-Iroko axis of the Ikorodu Road, and two others were hurt in another.  ,
This was confirmed by a statement released on Tuesday by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
Taofiq Adebayo, the director of LASTMA’s Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, claimed that the collision occurred when a fully loaded commercial Mazda bus, competing for the right to exit from the Agric axis, collided with a quick-moving articulated truck with plate number EKY 121 YJ.
A loaded truck with registration number “was discovered by security personnel. A fully loaded commercial Mazda bus with registration number EKY 121 YJ. LND 490 SD collided as the bus was recklessly battling for the Agric axis’ main carriageway right of way.

One passenger, precariously seated in the Mazda bus’s doorway, was tragically thrown from the vehicle and tragically crushed beneath the truck’s rear tires in the horrifying incident, which left the other passenger dead instantly.
The Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) immediately transported two additional passengers, both of whom were injured, to the Ikorodu General Hospital for urgent medical care, he said.
According to LASTMA, Nigeria Police Force officers have given the family the remains of the deceased.
Adebayo noted that Owutu Police Division personnel had stepped up their security support for the coordinated rescue operations by LASTMA.
The accidented vehicles, the commercial Mazda bus, and the articulated truck were all escorted by LASTMA officials, he said, “to restore unimpeded vehicular movement across that corridor.”
