Laura and Jason Kenny, the parents of a girl, have revealed their family. Before revealing their happy news, the couple have been open about their fertility struggles.

The announcement came as Laura’s fears that the elite sport might have affected her fertility, which included a miscarriage in 2021 and an ectopic pregnancy in 2022, emerged.

Laura said on BBC Radio 4’s Today program, “I had a miscarriage followed by an ectopic [pregnancy] while I was still training,” and if her career was to blame.

“I trained hard, and I’ve been doing it for a long time. Is there anything we’re doing to our bodies that makes them so difficult to have children that they can’t possibly have a child?

She continued, “Monty was just hell. Because it was horrendous, I won’t go on to claim that it was anything other than that. It was extremely difficult to deal with having an ectopic and a miscarriage that were so close together.

The hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through was having the miscarriage, which turned out to be the heartbreaking outcome because it was all about, “Am I going to survive this?”
