After being forced to reschedule a concert hours before he was scheduled to take the stage, Olly Murs fans were devastated.

The 40-year-old former X Factor star was scheduled to perform at Bla Bla Dubai on Thursday night. However, he had to pull the show just moments before the gig due to a throat infection. Now, he’s labelled himself “broken” following his enforced decision.

He shared a powerful message with his followers on Instagram. Sharing an image of him looked despondent, Olly wrote: “A man with a broken voice. Gutted Dubai, I’ll be back! “!

His most recent update comes after his social media platform was first revealed. At the time, he took to his Instagram stories to pen over a black background: “To everyone here in Dubai, unfortunately due to doctor’s orders I am having to cancel tonight’s show at Bla-Bla because of a throat infection. I’m so gutted. I’m eager to return right away, and I’ll let you know any new dates as soon as possible! Olly x”.

Olly had been buzzing with excitement earlier this week with his fans. He revealed that Mark Wright and he will both be hosting a brand-new Saturday breakfast show on Heart Radio. Sharing a promo video with Mark on social media, the station’s Instagram read: “Look who it is… Wrighty and Mursy taking over! Olly and Mark’s brand-new Saturday breakfast program will begin at 9am on March 1st.

Olly said of the new show: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be sharing my Saturday mornings with Wrighty &amp, the Heart listeners. Can you believe they actually gave us our own radio show? We have such a laugh off air, so I know we’ll have a great time doing this together. Expect plenty of banter, big entertainment, and obviously a bit of healthy competition. Can’t wait! “!

After initially participating in Soccer Aid, the pair have been friends for a while. Mark said of the announcement: “It’s not every day that you get to work with your mate, and I just can’t wait for Olly to join Heart. Every Saturday morning, we promise to bring you all the good laughs, fun, and banter, just because I know our listeners will enjoy it.
