Felix Isere, Edo State Governor, has been suspended as his Special Adviser for Oil and Gas, Monday Okpebholo, over alleged unauthorised fundraising at an upcoming Oil and Gas summit in Edo State.
Senator Okpebholo also requested that the oil and gas summit be postponed in light of this development, which was originally scheduled to take place on August 7.

Umar Ikhilor, the SSG’s secretary on Tuesday, released a statement outlining the suspension.
The proposed summit is hereby suspended in light of the above, and Felix Isere has been given the order to refund any funds raised to the various donors.
