
In an effort to keep the state safe for everyone, the governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has stated that his administration will continue to fight against cultism, kidnapping, and other criminal activity.
Following a closed-door meeting with Special Security Squad commanders and leaders on Wednesday evening at the Government House in Benin City, the governor made this known in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Fred Itua.
Ameloemen Idemudia Noah, Dennis Idahosa, Musa Ikhilor, a member of the Edo State Special Security Squad, Ameloemen Idemudia Noah, and other important figures were present.
The governor praised the meeting’s success, claiming that Edo residents had the ability to make strategic plans to increase the level of cult and kidnapping.
We had a very beneficial meeting regarding the fight against cults and kidnapping,” the organizers said. We want to see that our country is safe for everyone, and that our economy is strong. The governor cited this as the justification for the meeting today.

Further, the statement further revealed that since the Special Security Squad’s establishment, state order has gradually regained, with several arrests being made in coordinated raids.
Other stakeholders include members of the team that include members of the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, NSCDC, local hunters, vigilante organizations, repentant cult, and repentant cult.
