After the brothers “thought they could do what they wanted,” Liam and Noel Gallagher were forced to leave a pub by a resentful landlord.
A pub landlord revealed he had to kick brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher out of his pub after they thought ‘they could do what they wanted’. Liam and Noel, who brushed their never-ending feud under the rug for an Oasis reunion tour kicking off next month, annoyed a pub landlord when they used to walk in at the last minute.
Mark Chalmers, the current General Manager at Stockport’s historic White Lion, opened up about kicking the brothers out of a Manchester facility he was working at in the 1980s in a recent episode of Three Landlords Walk Into a Bar, a new podcast powered by HEINEKEN SmartDispense.

He claimed that the Gallaghers were the most well-known bartenders he’s ever had to work with when speaking to Jodie Kidd and Merlin Griffiths. However, it cost money.
They’d always arrive late at night when we wanted to close the bar and appear believing they could get what they wanted. They ultimately just pushed it too far, he said, and I just said, “Look both of you, you’re out.”
When questioned about whether the brothers had given him “any gob,” he replied, “Of course they did, but they still give it to everyone, don’t they”? !
Meanwhile, Liam recently admitted he isn’t “in charge” of Oasis rehearsals. With just over two weeks to go, the reunited Gallagher brothers are rehearsing in London ahead of Oasis’ first live shows in 16 years.
Noel was the band’s chief songwriter and organiser, and he was known as “The Chief.” And he still lives up to the name he has today.
When questioned on X, formerly Twitter, who is in charge of everything, Liam replied: “Noel”. He also reiterated that he had called Noel, and that phone call is thought to be the thing that ended the row between the pair.
Confident Liam acknowledged that his voice is “biblical” during rehearsals, and sources at the camp claim that Noel’s guitars’ wall of sound is also nicely sonic.
After the Gallaghers’ 2009 backstage incident at Rock en Seine in Paris, the band split. The duo will be performing together at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4 almost 20 years later.
Joey Waronker and other well-known former Oasis band members are joining Liam and Noel Gallagher on drums.
Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Joey Waronker are expected to make the entire lineup.
