By 41 runs, New Zealand won.
In the final third match, New Zealand won by 41 runs to claim their first one-day international series victory over India.
Despite Virat Kohli’s 124, a record-extending 54th ODI century, and Glenn Phillips’ 106, Daryl Mitchell’s 137 and Glenn Phillips’ 106 helped the tourists post 337-8 in Indore.
Zak Foulkes took the wickets of Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana for a duck after making successive deliveries that proved crucial.

Before Mitchell and Phillips’ match-changing partnership, which added 219 from 188 balls, New Zealand had fallen to 58-3.
For a career-high ODI score, Mitchell hit 15 fours and three sixes, making 84 in the first match of the series and 131 in the second.
When Phillips was caught behind by Arshdeep Singh, his fourth-wicket partnership with him came to an end.
Mohammed Siraj removed Mitchell shortly after, but Black Caps captain Michael Bracewell’s unbeaten 28 helped them post animposing 337.
In his 108-ball knock, Kohli hit 10 fours and three sixes, but it was insufficient. He is currently only playing 50-over cricket.
