NYSC Warns Batch A Corps Members Against Night Travel

Prospective corps members of the 2026 “Batch A” Stream I are advised to prioritize their safety when traveling to their orientation camps by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The NYSC stated in a post on Tuesday that “corps members must only travel during the daytime, with a warning against nighttime travel due to increased security and road safety risks.”

Prospective corps members should avoid being exposed to unsafe travel conditions by using registered transportation companies and approved motor parks.

The Corps also urged travelers to share their live locations with family members or trusted friends throughout their travels so they could be notified if an emergency arises.

While urging corps members to speak out when speeding or reckless driving, NYSC emphasized that avoiding silence in these circumstances could endanger lives.

Additionally, it stressed the value of carrying power banks and mobile devices fully charged while traveling to maintain constant communication.

Prospective corps members should not be hesitant to stop and travel the following day if it’s late, according to the advisory, stressing that no trip is worthwhile taking the risk of one’s life.
