The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Denver Nuggets 120-101 on Saturday to clear their name from the NBA play-offs.
The hosts dominated the series until game seven, with Denver hosting the decisive match.
The Oklahoma City Thunder host game one on Monday, taking the place of the fourth-seeded Nuggets, who are the Western Conference’s top seeds.
Denver extended their lead at half-time, which was 11 points, to 93-66, thanks to a significant third quarter.
The 2023 champions were led by Aaron Gordon (20 points) and Christian Braun (20 points), while Russell Westbrook added 16 points off the bench for the Nuggets.
Nikola Jokic, the three-time MVP, recorded 16 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in a final two assists.
The 30-year-old Serbian center said, “We know that everyone needs to step up in the play-offs.”

Los Angeles lost for the third straight season to the Clippers in the first round of the play-offs, leading Kawhi Leonard by 22 points, but James Harden, who had 13 assists, was held to just seven.
